Gioteck SC-1 sports controller for ps3 Review

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog about the Gioteck SC-1 sports controller for playstation 3.
The controller arrived very well packaged, the display box is really nice showing 3 seperate angels of the controller allowing you a good look around the controller.

The back of the box contained information about the controllers functions and design. It also contains the Gioteck logo, web address, Facebook and twitter profile information.
It again had 3 pictures of the controller showing different angles of the controller with information on specific functions and  design specifications such as the offset thumb sticks.

The controller itself, in my opinion, is based around the xbox 360 controller, with one thumb stick up high on the left, where the d-pad would be on the standard sony playstation 3 controller. It's shape again is similar to an xbox 360 controller.

Here is a comparison picture of the standard sony playstation 3 controller (left) and the Gioteck sc-1 sports controller (right)

The colours on the sc-1 are very nice, the red is very vibrant and the two strips on each handle bar is a nice touch and adds to the aesthetics nicely.

The 4 led lights, which let you see if you are player 1,2,3,4, are at the bottom of the controller and make it more visable than on the standard sony playstation 3 controller, which I think is a good idea.

The red light also flashes when charging.

I have used the controller and at the start it took a while to get use to as the thumb stick and d-pad are in different places and the shape is different to the standard controller which I am use to. My muscle memory for buttons on games also needed changing due to this. After afew plays on different games I began to get use to it. Probably easier as I use to have an xbox 360 so have previous us of this style of controller.

The controller itself is very nice to use. It has a nice weight, the grip level is brilliant and the battery also lasts a decent amount of time between charges.

My overall view on the Gioteck sc-1 sport controller is as follows;
The controller itself look very nice,
The colours are good with the red being vibrant and standing out nicely, the styling is very pleasing, the two added stripes on each handle bar are good and brake up the black nicely.
The weight is good and the controller is well balanced.
It has a good level of grip.
The battery life if fantastic
The only problems I have found is the charging cable is not very long, however as it uses the same attachment as the standard ps3 controller that is easily overcome.

My ratings for the controller out of 10

7/10 for usability, it takes a while to get use to the new layout of the controller which is why it didn't score higher.

8/10 for looks, it would have been higher if the shape had resembles the standard playstation 3 controller as that is the style I personally prefer.

8.5/10 for battery life, it lasts a decent amount of time between charges.

9/10 for weight and balance, it's weight is good, not to light but again not to heavy, it doesn't strain your hands or wrists after using it even after a few hours gaming. It's balance is perfect.

9.5/10 for price, fantastic price

Cats in GTA V new gen

So the new trailer for GTA V on PS4, XB1 and PC was released at E3, since then people have been going over the trailer with a fine toothcomb to see if they can find any little clues about what new things will be avaliable.
Well someone yesterday found a CAT in the trailer!

If you look on the pink wall there is a black cat, if you watch the gif I have added you will see the cat move, stretch and jump off the wall.

Here is the gif:

I am hoping that maybe rockstar have added pets as an option in GTA Online, that would be so cool.
I am aware currently that online has no animals in it but am extremely hopefully that with the capabilities on the playstation 4, xbox one and PC that they have added them to the game.

As soon as anymore information is released in regards to GTA, be it the heists or a new trailer for PS4, I will update everyone with any information I find out.

Just a quick side note: I predict that Heists will be release on Tuesday 17th of June, with Rockstar announcing it this Friday, 13th June.

Thanks for reading, please like and share.

GTA V PS4/XB1/PC

This is my blog about GTA V and GTA Online coming to PS4/XB1/PC in autum 2014.

Rockstar have announced during E3 on 9th June 2014 that Grand Theft Auto V will be coming to the playstation 4, xbox one and PC in autum of 2014.

They have released a trailer for this and is looks amazing. I have taken some screen shots and will talk about them and what to expect when the game is released.

As you can see the game looks amazing due to the advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements which will help deliver a stunning new level of detail. The depth to the images look incredible, the fact that in this shot you can make out the grass clearly shows how brilliant the world of Los santos and Blaine county will look on the new generation consoles and PC.

The increased traffic sounds good and will add to the realism of racing around and busy city during rush hour, although I am sure it will make things harder at some points.

Rockstar have announced that there will be more animals added to the game which is fantastic news adding to the diversity to this brilliant game.

As you can see in this screen shot hammerhead sharks will be added meaning they have developed the oceans as well as the land.

Rockstar have also announced that there will be upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover. Which can only add to the realism and enjoyment of the game.

The new generation upgrades extend to Grand Theft Auto Online, a great point here is that rockstar have stated that the current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand theft auto Online characters and progression to there choice of console.
This is great news for players such as myself who have invested a great deal of time in GTA Online on playstation 3 and mean I can continue ranking up my character, earning money and gaining new items ready to transfer over to the PS4 when GTA V is released.

My final thing I wish to say is that this announcement has reignited the excitement for the game to what it was like before it was originally released on ps3 and xbox 360.

Let's just hope that the rockstar servers can cope with the increased demands that this will bring.
